Garrison Little Theatre's BBQ Picnic:

Where Old and NEW Friends Meet!

The sun was shining, the grills were sizzling, and the laughter was infectious - it could only mean one thing: GLT BBQ Picnic was in full swing! This annual event brought together theatre enthusiasts, both old and new, for an afternoon of delicious food, camaraderie, and a healthy dose of drama (the good kind, of course!).

One of the most heartwarming aspects of the Garrison Little Theatre community is its ability to create a sense of belonging for everyone involved. Whether you're a seasoned actor or someone who's just discovered their love for the stage, GLT welcomes you with open arms. And this picnic was no exception. Old friends reconnected with bear hugs and hearty laughs, reminiscing about past performances that had left a lasting mark on their hearts. It was like a class reunion, only with more Norm Foster quotes and fewer pop quizzes. As for the newbies, they didn't stay strangers for long. GLT members were quick to introduce them to the quirks and traditions of the group. Imagine learning the "secret handshake" that's actually just a clever way of passing the ketchup bottle! The centerpiece of the event, of course, was the BBQ feast. Juicy burgers, mouthwatering hot dogs, and an array of delectable sides had everyone's taste buds dancing with delight. It's a well-known fact that actors need their energy, and boy, did they refuel!

If you're reading this and wondering if you've missed out on all the fun, don't worry! Garrison Little Theatre is always eager to welcome new members. Whether you're interested in acting, directing, set design, or just want to soak up the vibrant atmosphere, there's a place for you in this talented and welcoming community. Join the fun!

Thanks go to a wonderful hostess Catherine Kitchen for the use of her beautiful property,

and to Laurie Nash for the fun photos!

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pat Joynes,
the "mom" of Garrison Little Theatre, on December 31, 2022.
Pat was one of the founding members of this community theatre which she, along with her husband Derek Joynes, established in Fort Erie in 1986.
Pat enjoyed all aspects of theatre whether it was working behind the scenes, directing, producing or acting on stage.
Pat, thanks for everything you gave of yourself, you'll always be in our hearts!

James Kitchen, or Jim as we knew him, departed this world on October 25, 2022. Along with his many friends and family Garrison Little Theatre will miss his talents, humour and energy. He was a devoted family man, dedicated to his community and the service of others. Our deepest condolences to all.
